Mixie Bottle Review

Recently I was sent the 8 oz Mixie Bottle to review. I have to say when I was told about the Mixie Bottle I thought, what an ingenious idea, but I’m sure it’s cheaply made or doesn’t really work. Let me break down the Mixie Bottle for you. Basically you have a bottle with an inner compartment. Inside this compartment you put your formula (up to 4 scoops). You put the entire bottle together, fill with water and you have yourself a bottle ready to go. All you have to do is push a button and viola - the formula mixes with the water, and you have a ready to feed bottle.

 

 

 

“Hmm”, I said to myself, “there has to be a catch.” I mean if it is that great of a bottle why don’t I already have it. I received the Mixie bottle and looked it over. “It doesn’t look or feel cheap,” I thought immediately, “it must not really work.”

 

 

 

 

I washed the Mixie bottle (I never wash dishes-ask my husband), put it together and added all the necessary ingredients (water and powder formula). I studied it for a few minutes and then showed it to FB who was getting hungry. She started making her grunt sounds that mean “yes, yes, that’s it!” I put FB on my hip, which is where she normally is in order to make this as real as I can. Mr. Messy was with me and could have made the bottle, however when I’m out and about most of the time I’m on my own. I pushed the button and shook the bottle.

 

 

 

 

SERIOUSLY WOW! There was nothing wrong with it; it works perfectly! I LOVE this bottle! It is pricier than most bottles, but if you are a mom on the go, you know that you rarely have 2 hands to make a bottle.  I can’t tell you how many scoops of formula I've spilled because I always have a pre-measured bottle ready to go. 

 

 

It’s just so genius! This is such a simple solution for one of my biggest headaches! FB is 11 months old but I am planning on buying another one of these to have at least 2 for outings! I am absolutely crazy about this bottle. I never leave my house without it ready to go. Mixie bottles come in two convenient sizes. The 4 oz. retails for $18.95 and the 8 oz. for $21.95.
