NAAT Brazilian Keratin Review

Do you ever wish you could find the perfect combination of hair care products to get the look you are going for?  I do, all the time!  It never fails, I just don't want my hair.  My Stylist laughs because I have a patch of my hair in the very back and middle of my head that seems to be from someone else's head.  It's frizzy and has a very kinky wave and the rest of my hair is so straight.  I can get products for one or the other but most products are not made for both. 

My hair is so dry from all the bleaching I do to it.  I am an avid highlighter.  My hair is a lighter blond but my natural color is a dishwater blond, which is a dull light brown.  So I bleach and I bleach, surprisingly it makes me look younger.  Not that I'm old or anything.  I have been using a very expensive cleansing conditioner for the last year.  I wasn't concerned as much about styling as I was about the dryness since I can never manage to style it just right anyway.  Well, until now that is!  nuNAAT sent me 5 products to try out from the NAAT Brazilian Keratin line:  Intensive Hair Mask, Daily Care Shampoo; Daily Care Conditioner; Liquid Keratin Leave-In Reconstructor; and Serum Ultra Shine.  I'm not sure who at nuNAAT knew to make this especially for me but I feel like they created this line just for me.

I hope that hasn't been too much information, I usually keep my reviews short and sweet but I have so much to say about this one!  I will describe the line in the order that I use them.  I'm not exactly sure if this is the correct order or now, considering I am an amature at styling and taking care of my hair, meaning I don't give it much time. 

The NAAT Brazilian Keratin Intensive Hair Mask is the first of the products that I would use.  I don't use this every time I wash my hair but I have used it about once a week since receiving the line.  It is thicker than the conditioner but it's not very thick.  It seems to apply nicely and coats my hair without dripping all over the place.  I put this throughout my hair and put my hair up in a clip for about 20 minutes.  The directions state to use for 10 - 20 minutes, I said before my hair is pretty dry so I go for the full time, I don't think it would be a problem to leave on a little longer for my hair either.  Then I rinse it off in the shower.

I follow with the Daily Care Shampoo, which is Sodium chloride free.  I still get a lather so I feel like my hair is getting clean.  I know sometimes if I don't get a lather I don't feel like it's getting clean.  I feel like I need a lot of this to wash my hair, but I have a lot of hair.  It leaves my hair feeling very clean.  Of course I rinse and sometimes I repeat, not always though.

I move on to the Daily Care Conditioner, which I feel like a little goes a long way.  I love how this manages to sliver through my hair.  I'm not sure how else to describe it but I just need the tiniest bit to go through all of my hair.  It's awesome!  It rinses out and leaves my hair feeling soft and smooth.

The Liquid Keratin Leave-In Reconstructor then goes on next if you plan on using heat.  This is pretty amazing, it seals the cuticle of the hair once you've exposed it to 180 degrees, basically if you use a flat iron.  This is probably the hardest of the products, or at least it was for me, to apply.  It's just like water and it's hard to gage how much to use.   I have a lot of hair and  have gone through this the quickest of all the products.  It's okay because I love the way it leaves my hair.  I just recently had my hair colored and my Stylist said I didn't need to trim my hair.  That has never happened for me.  My hair is quick to dry out and break off, over the last couple of weeks of using these products my hair is being restored. 

Lastly I use the Serum Ultra Shine.  This is the one product that you notice a difference with right away.  I use a tiny dime size amount in all of my hair.  I put it in one hand and rub my hands together, then I rub it through all of my hair.  Blonde hair is really hard to maintain because it's usually dull or you notice how oily it is.  It's hard to acheive a balance of healthy shiny looking hair.  This serum gives me that shine without giving an oily look. 

I am so glad that I was chosen to do this review.  I don't know that I could ever go back to using another product in my hair.  No, not even that expensive cleansing conditioner that I was using forever before now.  I have fallen in love with and HIGHLY recommend the NAAT Brazilian Keratin Products from nuNAAT.  The best thing is that they probably make a line of hair care specifically for your hair.  I suggest you visit nuNAAT and find the right prodcut for yourself.

3/6/13 7:27 pm This is a correction to my post.  Since posting this the sponsor nuNAAT has informed me that the correct order to use the products would be the Daily Care Shampoo then the Daily Care Conditioner.  You would then replace the Daily Care Conditioner with the Intensive Hair Mask once a week or even once a month.  I wanted to make sure to let you know so you didn't follow my incorrect order of products.  - Messy Mama
