Macadamia Natural Oil Hair Care Review

I was pretty lucky when I was given the Macadamia Natural Oil Luxe Travel Set.  I happened to receive it just before taking off for vacation.  Score!  I don’t have to pack my large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, leave in treatment and all of my other hair care products that are lying around my bathroom.  I have this cute little travel set that I just placed in my luggage.

When I let my hair dry on it's own without Macadamia Natural Oil products
I didn’t think twice about not packing a back-up, even though I had never tried this set before because I have been lucky enough to review the Leave In Treatment from Macadamia Natural Oil before and fell in love immediately with the way it left my hair looking and feeling.  So, needless to say I trusted this brand at least enough to make it a week without a different product.
The Luxe Travel Set included:
  • 3.3oz Rejuvenating Shampoo
  • 2oz Moisturizing Rinse
  • 1oz Healing Oil Treatment
  • 3.3oz Deep Repair Masque
  • 2oz Nourishing Leave-In Cream
  • Healing Oil Infused Comb
  • Travel Bag
The Rejuvenating Shampoo is Sulfate and paraben free (big plus – these things are bad for your hair and dry it out).  It not only gently cleanses your hair but it replenishes moisture and protects your hair from the elements.  I loved the way this made my hair feel even while still in the shower.  I bleach my hair, I like my blond hair from childhood but unfortunately as I get older my hair gets darker.  I feel like I’m looking at a stranger when my hair is dark.  So I do what so many of you do and add highlights (lots and lots of highlights).  This makes my hair brittle and weak.  I feel like sometimes the wind will blow to hair and break my hair off.  While I was using the Rejuvenating Shampoo I could feel more moisture in my hair.  This doesn’t typically come with a shampoo, it is usually added after shampoo to replace the moisture taken out from shampooing.

The Moisturizing Rinse is perfect for everyday or for someone with lightweight hair.  I liked it and felt like it left my hair feeling nourished and not tangled.  Usually, when I wash my hair I have to use a handful of conditioner.  I didn’t use very much of this Rinse because the Shampoo didn’t make my hair feel stripped.  In general, I need an added detangler after washing and conditioning.  However, not with this set.

I did use the Deep Repair Masque the first time too.  I thought after using this that my hair would feel weighted down and look greasy.  That didn’t happen though.  I love this Deep Repair Masque and would love to soak my whole body in it, I think that would be kind of expensive though.  This Masque is a reconstructor that penetrates the hair and rebuilds hair for improved shine and elasticity.  It is enriched with Macadamia and Argan oils.

I already told you that I fell in love with the Nourishing Leave-In Cream before, that has not changed, but my new love affair is with the Healing Oil Treatment.  I have used too much at one point but I think you’ll have to find out the right amount for your hair on your own.  I have started using this on my daughters’ also.  I feel that this could only help improve the texture of their hair.  I don’t add any heat or chemicals to their hair but even with just brushing and the elements they are exposed to daily their hair is damaged.  I figure I can help them out by starting them early with good quality products that don’t take much time or money.   Also, this oil claims to reduce drying time by 40 – 50%.  Now, I haven’t timed it but I generally let my hair dry overnight.  Most days I have to get up and use the hair dryer for an additional 10 minutes.  I haven’t had to use the hair dryer when I use this treatment.  I don’t think I’ll ever go without this treatment for my hair again.

The set also comes with a Healing Oil Infused Comb.  I thought it was pretty awesome that they included this in the set, which by the way only cost $29.95.  Since using the wrong tool on your hair can cause so much damage.  This set is perfect for traveling.  However, I think it’s even more perfect if you aren’t sure about this brand.

Get the Luxe Travel Set and introduce yourself to the Macadamia Natural Oil Brand.  If you have dry hair like mine from chemically treating it then this set is most certainly for you.   If you don’t chemically treat your hair chances are you still have damage from the daily elements and could benefit from these products.

My hair drying on it's own with Macadamia Natural Oil products and no other styling.  WOW!
