Ninja Cooking System Review

I received the Ninja Cooking System to review and I can't tell you how ecstatic I was when I got it.  I actually received it on Christmas Eve and it was a life saver.  The Messy House hosted Christmas for a few family members and that meant we had a lot of cooking to do.

I guess I can't complain too much about the cooking, I didn't make a whole turkey, just a turkey breast, ham (that just needed to be warmed) and a bunch of sides.  I was trying to time everything to be cooked and still warm when it came to dinner.  I wasn't having any luck and then the Ninja Cooking System arrived and solved all my problems!

Let's find out what the Ninja Cooking System website has to say:
  • Heats from the bottom and the sides at the same time
  • Cook meats up to 50%* faster than in a conventional oven
  • Fast and healthy one pot meals in 30 minutes or less

*  Delicious family meals ready in 30 minutes. Everything ready at the same time. Tastes great! Saves time! Easy non-stick pot clean-up.

*  Bottom & Side Heat and super-heated steam cooks up to 50% faster*, with less fat vs. conventional ovens.

*  Sear using built-in stovetop before slow cooking – all in one appliance! Re-heat meals in the same non-stick pot! Lock in the flavor!

*  Use up to half the fat in your favorite cake mix! Combination of steam infusion and direct heat offers more moist, better tasting results – less calories.

Obviously, I could give example after example of what I could do with this, but let's talk about how it saved Christmas.  I decided to steam roast my turkey breast in the Ninja to save some space in my oven.  I started by searing each side of the turkey breast on the stove top setting.  This took about 40 minutes because I seared each side for about 10 minutes.  It was pretty simple and I didn't use any oils, just plopped the turkey right in there.  Next I took the turkey out only to place the roasting rack under it.  I added 1 cup of water and 1 cup of apple cider.  I placed some fresh thyme and rosemary around the turkey and threw some pepper and orange peels in the water.  I let the turkey roast for about an hour and a half.

I let the turkey sit for about a half hour before serving it.  It was absolutely delicious!  All of my family that was there absolutely loved the turkey!  My husband is a ham kind of guy, mainly because we never have it because I'm not a fan, but he gobbled up the turkey!

I am really enjoying my Ninja Cooking System and finding out all of the different ways to use it.  I recommend the Ninja Cooking System.  If you are considering getting a slow cooker I urge you to consider the Ninja.  Also, if you seem to not have enough oven space you should really consider it as well.  The Ninja Cooking System retails for $199.80, and if you purchase it through the website you can make 5 payments of just $39.95.   Did I mention how easy it was to clean?  I think I could have taken a dry cloth and wiped it clean!  Seriously, it took no time at all for clean up!
