Keeping your family safe from the damaging effects of the sun is not only for vacations.  You should be doing this all the time.  When I was growing up it was so cool to get as tan as you could.  However, this has caused my skin (especially on my face) to look so much older than it should and the dark spots (sun spots) make me want to cry.
