hbl Hydrating Hair Care System Review and Giveaway

I was sent hbl Haircare’s Hydrating Sytem to review.  You know with all the summer activities my hair is dying for some much needed love.  My mama, sister in law and several friends all have pools, so we are all water babies at the Messy House.  Which means, my hair takes a beating in the summer time.  My girls are all about swimming whenever they can.  None of them are actual swimmers so we do have to get in the pool with them.  No matter how much I try to keep my hair from that chlorine water it is always drenched by the time I get out.

I love/hate the story behind hbl and how is was founded.  Patrick created hbl because of far too many of his family, friends and employees' battles with cancer.  He wanted something from was free of those harsh and potentially dangerous chemicals.  Something that was healthy.   Read the entire story HERE.

Luckily, I’ve found hbl’s Hydrating System.  I love the smell, first of all.  It is pretty strong when you are using it but the fragrance left behind is not that intense.  I love the way the shampoo cleans my hair without making it feel as though it’s been stripped.  I have dry, course hair, so most shampoos leave my hair feeling awful.   A little bit of this shampoo goes a long way, not usually the case with my hair. 

The conditioner is so thick I have to keep the bottle turned upside down in my shower all the time.  I LOVE that!  Again, a little bit goes a long way and I have such thick hair that is never the case.  I love how the conditioner does not leave my hair feeling weighted down.  It just feels soft and smooth. 

As a bonus, you can get the system with the free Hair Masque.  The Hair Masque does not have to be used for an extended amount of time.  Just put in in your hair, use the provided comb to make sure it gets to all your hair, leave on two minutes and you’re done!  How awesome is that?  I am used to leaving hair masque on for 10 – 20 minutes.  Seriously, who has time for 20 extra minutes in the shower?
