Kidkraft Princess Toddler Bed Review

FB isn’t so much a baby anymore and I reached out to Kidkraft because I love their products, especially the furniture.  They agreed that my princess needed a bed that was fitting for her.  They sent me the Princess Toddler Bed for FB and me to review. 

First, let me give you the specifics of the bed:

On to what you as a parent really want to know.  Is this going to put you in the insane asylum by putting it together?  My husband and I assembled the bed together.  I have to say that we have some experience with Kidkraft products so it might be why it was such a breeze to assemble.  We did run into a small snag.  One of the parts was mislabeled and we had to order the correct part.  Let me tell you just how easy that was.  I simply pulled up www.kidkraft.com and filled out the replacement part request.  It was to my house in just a couple of days.  I have to admit that it’s frustrating to set the product aside in the middle of assembling it but the ease of getting the replacement part more than made up for it. 

I had the genius idea of putting the bed together in our Living Room.  When we tried to take it into FB's room it wouldn't fit through the door.  So we just simply took it apart in the middle.  Took it through the door and reassembled it.  It was only a few screws and no headache.  

As I stated previously, I have had other Kidkraft items and have never had a problem with the assembly process before or missing any of the correct parts.  Let’s be honest, mistakes happen and what a company does with those mistakes makes it a good or bad company.  People work at companies and people are imperfect, so that’s how these mistakes happen.  Kidkraft makes it super easy on parents to get what they need.  I have previously had furniture from other manufacturers and had on more than one occasion come across missing or broken parts.  I had to jump through hoops to get the correct parts and have waited for weeks on top of that.  I am not exaggerating.  So, I am grateful to be able to have this review and tell you how great their customer service was with this mishap. 

Now for the important part.  Is this kid approved?  FB was more than excited to see the Princess Toddler Bed waiting for her at bedtime.  Her older sisters were very jealous that she was getting such a fun bed.  FB crawled right in her bed and laid her head on her pillow.  After our normal bedtime routine she went straight to sleep on the first night.  I just need to put a crown on her head.  The second night she came walking out of her room about 15 minutes after our bedtime routine with a gigantic smile on her face and her swagger walk.  She thought she was the coolest little thing ever.  So, I walked her back to bed.  The third night she went to sleep after our routing with no problem again.  However, I did feel a tug on the bed at 2:00 a.m. in the middle of the night to find her trying to climb into my bed. 

I recommend The Princess Toddler Bed to all the parents with Princesses.  The face of my sweet girl every time she sees her “big girl” bed!  Kidkraft provides quality products and exceptional customer service.  I feel that FB is very safe in this bed since it is so low to the ground.  If by chance she did fall out, because the rails on the sides are high enough to keep her from falling, she wouldn't fall that far.  She would more likely slide out of the bed onto the ground.  Knowing that she is safe in this bed makes me sleep better.
